Simultaneous traumatic pseudoaneurysm and thrombosis of the popliteal artery after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction

Arterial complications after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction are rare. Few case reports have been reported with various techniques of reconstruction. Allum did not report arterial lesions as acomplication after ACL reconstruction in a review article on this subject. Pseudoaneurysm is often associated with damage to the posterior knee capsule or previous knee surgery. To our knowledge, this is the first report of simultaneous pseudoaneurysm and arterial thrombosis of the popliteal artery after ACL reconstruction.
