Abstract

In this paper, we describe Warm Technology as a new approach to designing technology for and with people living with dementia. It is based on a positive psychological view of elderhood and dementia. We strive to developing technological systems and applications that are person-centred, smart yet uncomplicated and user-friendly, with a focus on a person's abilities, needs and ambitions. In the paper we describe our general vision and approach, and highlight three design examples to exemplify our approach.
