I am an associate professor in physical education at Fontys University of Applied Sciences. My research within the research line Powerful learning environments for high-quality physical education focuses in particular on the quality of physical education, motivational learning climates, assessment and evaluation, formative assessment, curriculum development, and the use of digital tools to support learning and assessment in educational practice. In my work, I connect empirical research with practice-oriented educational innovation, in close collaboration with schools and teacher education programmes.
